I was beat. I was defeated. I was broken.

And deep in the midst of this negativity, as I sat with my computer, ready to write a review – I tiredly glanced down at the coffee shop table…as the corner of my eye caught a glimpse.

A glimpse of “optimism.”

Immediately, my mood changed. Instantly, I took on the momentous challenge of being weak spirited – and won.

The MTA, of all organizations, accepted a proposal from Reed Seifer back in 2007, to print this simply brilliant word on the back of MetroCards in hopes that the concept would spread on a global scale. Definite local success.

I’m sure I’ve overlooked it hundreds of times…

Thanks to the MTA for bringing Reed’s vision to reality. You so made my day.
