2011 NBA Finals Preview Dallas vs. Miami
How can you be the King if you never really won anything? They say, “for every King an Heir, and for every King a crown” (Thanks Crown Royal). But if your crown or your Kingdom consists of the night clubs and South Beach hotspots it doesn’t look like your Kingdom is that large nor in charge. Better luck next time – taking your talents someplace people actually care King James!

Never mind the subjects you play in front of are some of the least knowledgeable basketball fans in the country – I’m talking to you Heat Fans, yes it’s true! May I remind you of the “Fan Up” campaign the Heat front office drew up to try to get you to come to the games earlier or to remind you get up out of your chair and stand when D. Wade’s hitting game winners, enough said. In case you forgot check out the clip:

That being said the Miami Heat (58-24) are playing the Dallas Mavericks (57-25) in the NBA Finals; which begins tonight and won’t finish for another month.

We here at the Soul Dynamic like to be well rounded and wanted to present you with a preview of the series and some things to look forward to when the “Three Kings” Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh take on Dirk Diggler Nowitzki and the rest of the Mavericks. Given our South Beach location and all the hype and media given to this thing we thought we’d jump in. Here we go:

5 Things to Look Forward to about the NBA Finals in South Beach

1. (B) List Celebrity Sightings: With hundreds of celebrities calling South Beach home, there’s no better time to show you’re a fan then coming out to the only games you’ll attend all year. You have to love the Celebrity Bandwagon in this town! If you don’t get tired of it by game (1) the party doesn’t stop. I’m really looking forward to catching: Brooke & Hulk Hogan, Enrique Iglesias, Flo-Rida, and J.Lo – She’s on my A-List, but I thought I’d throw her in.

2. Seeing Obnoxious Guys in Tank Tops: In a land of beautiful people, the ones running their mouths the entire game need to find some place to hide. The velvet rope doesn’t open for everyone, but paying full price for a game ticket will get you a seat at the triple A. Watch out for spilt beer.

3. Lebron James & Dwayne Wade’s Post Game Fashion Show: Just watch…if you need an introduction, our friends at the Miami New Times (http://bit.ly/jxG1PV) ran a nice piece about this.

4. Learning Spanish: “I can speak your language Rosetta Stone.” Being this close to Cuba and being the gateway to South America residents of Miami are used to picking up bits and pieces of other languages on the daily. If you’re ever stuck on Calle Ocho make sure you have your Spanglish on point.

5: Figuring out what “Burnie” the Heat Mascot Really is: I still don’t know…if anyone finds out, please fill me in.

Prediction: Heat in 6, robbing one in Dallas and winning it in Miami.

Side Note on Scottie Pippen: We know you’ll be in Miami for this one, we caught you on Real House Wives last night. Either way in response to your comments last week:

Lebron needs a championship to be considered better than Michael Jordan. You have a ring, you should know this! And Scottie you needed MJ just as much as Stedman needs Oprah. He wouldn’t be a rich man without her and you wouldn’t have been the player you were without Mike. Just saying…
