Episode 2 of the Night Owl Assembly presents Pink Panther, an ambassador of good for the common man in all of us

As an introduction.

Some of our best work is done in the dark. Whether you’re a creature of the night or a struggling insomniac there’s something about the seclusion and isolation of nightfall that stimulates non-existent creativity.

This space creates a blank canvas for the outsiders, the freaks and weirdos. It illuminates the experimental, the niche, and pushes the limits of themes and ideas that aren’t typically shared during the light of day.

The Night Owl Assembly celebrates this counter culture, spotlighting, the internet’s best and brightest. From art, to music, to movies, to cartoons, to retro print ads and odd commercial spots it plays home to these different forms in an effort to spark curiosity, pay homage to our inspirations and push forward this idea that embracing variables is never bad idea.

Welcome and enjoy!

The Pink Panther was a series of comedy films featuring an inept French police detective, Inspector Jacques Clouseau (1963).

The first film in the series had an animated opening sequence, created by DePatie-Freleng Enterprises and set to the theme music by Mancini, which featured the Pink Panther character.

This character, designed by Hawley Pratt and Friz Freleng, was subsequently the subject of its own series of animated cartoons which gained its highest profile when aired on Saturday mornings as The Pink Panther Show. The character would be featured in the opening of every film in the movie series except A Shot in the Dark and Inspector Clouseau.
