Still waiting on that,The Life of Pablo, to drop? Or wait, was it Swish, or Waves or whatever he changes the album title to next.

Of course you’re still waiting, and that’s the way Mr. West planned it the whole time. And whether it came out at midnight (it did not), or while you’re reading this, it will not matter. It’s bound to grab your attention as soon as you get your filthy lil hears around it. Because that’s what Kanye does – he creates a beautiful dark twisted fantasy out yo reality. Gets you jumping from one foot to the next, keeps life exciting.

And you love it. He’s a genius like that, don’t ya know.

Of course you do, he’s said it enough times. So have we for that matter. And I’m not here to assert or argue that point, and honestly if this album bombs (doubt it will, but you never know), it’s not about that either.

What I want to do is give you a glimpse into how it all started, how it began, give you a taste of that elixir. Because it’s the Blueprint to how he’s got you arriving to now. I can’t do this without thanking my brother, who five years ago shot me a link to download the beginning. The same link I’m sending you today, the link that changed my life…at that time at least.

Soul. From an educated mother and a Black Panther father, product of the Windy City (it ain’t about the weather either man) and later star mentee of the great, not late Jay-Z. Man’s forever had something to prove. But what comes from him, is the 100% real, genuine, no hiding, nothing fake raw truth. And that’s kinda the definietion of what you call soul right? Some of it is.

So while the man’s got you chasing after the latest cold front of the Yeezy season, take a lil time out to check out his roots. It’ll make you feel close to him, provide a brief understanding, and most importantly, make you feel really fucking good alive.
