Today’s motivate is about you. It always about you. Now please “Stand Up.”

It’s about making a decision about yourself, looking in the mirror and deciding — who do I want to be, what am I about, what does my life stand for? Historically, we’ve faced many injustices together as a country, as a nation. The political and social climate now is as choppy as it ever was, but stepping back, giving the United States a stern look from the context of perspective, it’s still not as bad as it is in other countries.

Never the less, everyday you’re blessed with the gift of choice. And that’s the beauty of our country, where we live. It makes us unique and we often lose sight of how special the ability to make choices are.

Photographer turned activist, Boniface Mwangi, talks about the day everything changed for him in his country of Kenya. He speaks about the day he “Stood Up.”

This week we’re headed to Nevada to watch the Man Burn, so we’ll be in a state of radio silence. Upon our Labor Day return, we’ll resume with our regularly scheduled musical agenda.

This week, choose, something.
