“Peace is in our hands, our mind is in control. Grasp hold of your own, recognize you are the soul.”

#together

It’s been a long week, long Summer, long year for us here in America and beyond. At the Soul Dynamic we strongly get behind positivity, promoting growth, aspiring to inspire, listening to tunes along the way…our intentions will never change on this front. And as long as we have a platform we’ll use our voices to uplift and motivate, energize you our audience, and spread undying love.

But we are not blind to the world around us, nor immune to it’s happenings. We’re affected, and want to urge you to remember these people and words; Eric Garner, Lafayette, Oscar Grant III, Charleston, Je Suis Charlie, Ferguson, Freddie Gray, Aurora, Sandra Bland…so that they may remain in your thoughts and prayers. Let the world know that these events did not and will not continue to happen in vain, rather choose to be a vessel for change. Be respectful, share and educate with those people around and you, be compassionate, administer love. That is our job as humans. Those actions are on us. If you haven’t been owning them, now’s the time to start.

The realization that we are in this together is what today’s jumpoff is all about. Salomon Faye talks about our country’s ongoing issues in Kris Merc’s mini doc, “Black Power,” set in Baltimore during their struggles in this period. When watching this doc and listening to Salomon’s words, one realizes it goes a hell of a lot deeper than race.

Next week, our aim is to continue bringing you content that makes you pay it forward. Think about what you’re doing to make the world better, and have a great weekend.
